Provide great experiences where children get to play, develop life learning skills, while doing so in a well-structured and safe environment.  AFTERSCHOOL COUNSELOR REPORTS TO: Children's Programming Director Position Start Date: Monday August 26, 2024 Work Hours: 2:30pm - 6:30pm Pay Rate: $12.00/hour Duties and responsibilities *Transportation (must be 25 years or older) ● Pick students up from school and bring them safely to Word Tabernacle Church Academic Enrichment ● Ensure all homework is completed and accurate, giving assistance as needed. ● Provide supplemental academically rigorous material focusing on reading comprehension and math. ● Check Students Daily and communicate necessary information with parents. Holistic Development ● Expose students to culturally relevant material and experiences. ● Educate and engage students in health and wellness concepts and activities. ● Create a fun and engaging environment by developing appropriate relationships with students. Supervision ● Ensure the holistic safety of all children. ● Show concern for every child. ● Report any incident in a timely fashion (i.e. when it happens) Qualifications Qualifications include: ● Have a valid Driver’s License* ● Have a consistent functioning mobile device for communication ● High School graduate ● Be available for the functioning hours of the program Physical requirements Will be required to engage in physical activity with the children, set up and break down rooms being used for ministry purposes. *Not required of all After School Counselors Apply

Young Adults The WTC Young Adult Ministry serves 18-29 year olds. You don't have to be a WTC member to join the ministry. Joining the young adult ministry will allow you to find like-minded people, develop as an individual, grow spiritually, serve the Church and community, and so much more! Register for Young Adult Ministry We believe Christ is the only way to have a relationship with God. Being saved gives us the foundation to develop every aspect of who we are. There is joy in the local church. We find a place of belonging, not because of the space, but because of Christ, spiritual restoration, social support, and the people who become family. Being a young adult allows us to embrace and enjoy life! There is nothing like finding your tribe and doing life together! Engage through events and Let the good times roll! Transportation Do you need a ride to church? Word Tabernacle offers van transportation for anyone in Nash, Edgecombe and Wilson Counties. This service is available for our Sunday 8:00AM and 10:00AM services. To schedule your pick-up, please call 252-446-2158 no later than 5:00PM the Thursday prior to the Worship Service you'll attend and leave a callback number.
