- Vision Mission Values | Word TabernacleVision, Mission, & Values Our Values Accountability We are personally responsible and accountable to one another for our attitude, actions, and integrity as a means of accomplishing vision, building character, ensuring sound decision making, and growing as balanced disciples. (Acts 15:4; Job 31:6) Authority The Holy Bible is divinely inspired by God and is the inerrant authority by which God communicates, instructs, reveals, and directs our growth and our goals (2 Tim 3:16-17) Community Because we are complementary by design, we need one another. Just as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are unified in purpose, we are to reflect the nature or God by uniting through our common faith and goals. We desire each person in our church and within our community to experience a sense of family as evidenced by our love for one another as we gather together in safe, transparent, and authentic spaces to work through issues of faith and life. (Acts 2:42-47; John 17:20-23; Ephesians 4:1-6) Equity Because the wages of sin is death, God’s greatest act of justice is salvation, however the gift of God is eternal life. We view salvation as both justification by faith and social action as we seek the holistic transformation of individuals and institutions. (Isaiah 1:17; Amos 5:7, 15, Micah 6:8) Generosity We willfully and cheerfully give our time, treasures, and talents so that others’ lives can be improved and impacted (Proverbs 22:9; 2 Corinthians 9:7) Quality We bring glory to God when we offer Him our best efforts and present to Him our best selves. We seek to serve in a spirit of excellence knowing God requires competency and consistency in addition to our character. (Daniel 5:14; 6:3; Colossians 3:23) OUR VISION "Everyone Thriving" Word Tabernacle Church is more than a building consisting of four walls. It is a spiritual vehicle for socio-economic, system-level change committed to the Vision of “Everyone Thriving”. OUR MISSION "People empowering people and communities in every area of life to the glory of God." Word Tabernacle Church consistently serves its members and its community holistically through our mission of “people empowering people and communities in all areas of life to the Glory of God.”
